GMT simply means Giant monthly traffic keywords. We are referring to traffic from 500,000 Global search and above. These are  keywords that will give you nothing less than 500 dollars a month if you get to the first page of search result

HMT refers to huge monthly traffic keywords. Here we are referring to keywords which have Global monthly searches of 30,000 to 500,000 . These keywords are most likely going to get you at least 30 dollars a month if you get to first page of search result page.


Now you do not want to go a keyword that has Low monthly searches except you just wan to play. If you mean business and want to make money, you will go for articles that have HMT or GMT and get enough backlinks to it.
